We currently have a unique opportunity for a an experienced or recently qualified Guide Dog Mobility Instructor to work within our Dog Services team to contribute to our Guide Dog and Autism Assistance Dog programs.

About the role
As a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor, you will be responsible for providing competent, professional assessments and delivery of Guide Dog Mobility services to clients living with low vision or blindness. This role will assist in the training and evaluation of Guide Dogs to appropriately match with clients.

About you
Essential to this role is an internationally recognised Guide Dog Mobility Instructor qualification backed with 2 or 3 years’ relevant work experience.

To assist in the work of Guide Dogs SA/NT you will need to be highly self-motivated with a positive outlook and the ability to establish credibility and gain the confidence of a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate technical capability and experience as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor as well as advanced time management skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Providing and maintaining a current Driver’s License, NDIS, relevant DHS and National Police Clearances will be required.
