The Guide Dog School in Liestal, Switzerland is looking for a qualified guide dog instructor with experience in training future GDMI’s (Guide Dog Mobility Instructors).
Your tasks:
- Teaching theoretical and practical knowledge to Cadet-GDMI’s for the training of guide dogs
- Training and supervision of two to three kadet instructors according to the standards of the IGDF
- Participation in two short seminars (3 days each) and two one-day seminars for experienced guide dog teams
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland
Your profile:
- Qualification as a guide dog instructor from an IGDF accredited organization
- Experience in training Cadet instructors
- Very good language skills in German OR English (oral and written)
- Computer skills and the ability to fluent in written form
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to train dogs and guide dog teams in all weather conditions
- Willingness to represent the values of the Liestal Guide Dog School | VBM and pass these on to Cadet instructors
