We are looking for a Guide dog trainer (full-time) / Guide Dog Mobility Instructor

Your functions
- Training guide dogs
- Introducing the guide dog to the client
- Accompanying and instructing clients at follow ups and arranging the dog retirement
- Supervising candidates during informational courses
- Supervising and instructing clients during refresher courses
- Management of the internal database
- Participating in public relations activities, particularly guided tours or demonstrations
- Dog-sitting services at the school as needed
Your profile
- A recognised qualification as a guide dog instructor (GDMI) from SBFI/IGDF is preferred
- Minimum of four years’ post qualification experience in the guide dog field
- In-depth knowledge of modern dog training methods and an open approach to new insights into the training of dogs
- A structured, reliable, and self-motivated personality with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent command of written and fluently speaking German; French would be advantageous
- Category B driving licence

Please note: You cannot bring your own dog to work. Since this is a position as a guide dog trainer, you will be required to take the dog in training home with you several days a week.
