Under the direction and guidance of the Executive Director, this position develops and manages all ADI educational programs for our membership, as assigned.
Roles and Responsibilities

Education
- Develop all educational programs including but not limited to webinars, Members’ Forums and workshops for members and candidates to further their knowledge and training.
- Coordinate the development of conference presentations to support education programs and certifications.
- Assist the Education Committee in the development of educational resources.
- Manage the Workforce Development Education Program.
- Create, develop and maintain all educational content in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assist with the development of Continued Education Units (CEU’s) for education programs.
- Create and provide on-going maintenance of educational resources and content within the Resource Center.
- Coordinates subject matter experts to facilitate sharing of best practices.
- Facilitate networking groups to support sharing of best practices.
Candidate Education Program
- Coordinate new Candidate/Member recruitment activities.
- Respond to all inquiries regarding potential candidate programs.
- Support and work with candidate programs to meet all ADI Standards and prepare for the Accreditation process.
- Assist, track and support candidates’ progress through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Liaise with Program Manager as candidate programs prepare for their first accreditation survey.
- Assist the Program Manager with supporting the Candidate Program in the development of accreditation and education resources.
ADI Operations Support
- Manage the Digital ID Card Program.
- Assist the Executive Director with conference planning.
- Coordinate all registrations for all the educational conferences and workshops.
- Develops regional newsletters for ADI North America and ADI Oceania.
- Provide consistent messaging to members and candidates.
- Work with all staff to ensure that all data is updated and correct in all database systems and the website.
- Assist all staff as needed.
- Attend meetings as needed.
ADI Board, Regional Councils and Committee Support
- Support the tracking and implementation of the ADI Strategic Plan.
- Support the Education Committee including Members’ Forum and Conference sub-committees.
- Support the Membership Committee and sub-committees.
- Support the ADI North America and ADI Oceania Candidate Review Committees (CRC).
- Attend ADI Board of Directors and committee meetings and provide updates when necessary.
- Support the regional councils and their committees, as assigned.

ADI is a virtual organization with no central physical office location. This position requires the ability to work from home with reliable access to a phone and high-speed secure internet service.
This is a salaried position for 35+ hours per week with the flexibility to adjust specific hours as needed to accommodate the needs of an international organization working across multiple time zones. Domestic or international travel to annual conferences and workshops is required.
For individuals residing outside of the United States, the position would be designated as an independent contractor.
Required Education, Experience and Competencies
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or knowledge, experience and skills in the education field or nonprofit industry.

- Knowledgeable about assistance dog training programs.
- Knowledgeable about assistance dog training philosophies, techniques, and acceptable levels of performance.
Desired Experience and Competencies
- Knowledgeable about ADI Standards and Accreditation Process.
- Experience working as a part of an ADI accredited program preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience or skills in database management with Salesforce, Learning Management Systems or similar software programs.
