Guide Dogs Queensland (GDQ) is looking for expressions of interest from qualified Guide Dog Mobility Instructors to come and join us working at our Breeding and Training Centre in Brisbane, Australia.


Situated in Brisbane, the beautiful capital city of Queensland, we are a small, dynamic and innovative school which gives you the chance to experience dog training as well as client instruction in a class and domiciliary setting. Queensland is known as Australia’s Sunshine State, distinguished by some of the best beaches in the world, a temperate climate and laidback lifestyle.

Our Guide Dog Mobility Instructors (GDMI’s) deliver Orientation & Mobility services to blind & vision impaired clients throughout Queensland. Additionally, GDMI’s have involvement in a range training programs that GDQ runs for clients at our head office in Brisbane.


The successful candidate will work alongside a team of skilled health professionals providing support to people who are blind or visually impaired of all age groups in Queensland. Your professional input will complement existing services to provide an holistic approach in enabling clients to participate independently, confidently and safely in daily life.
